NORTHWIRE, the manufacturer of cables "made by LEMO", celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Ormund Kravik founded NORTHWIRE in 1972 in Osceola, Wisconsin. The company's name and its logo (a compass) are a tribute to the founder's native country, Norway.

Meanwhile, its staff grew from 2 to over 50 people. Today, LEMO Netherlands has a cable assembly department as well and is home to the LEMO European Distribution Centr
